So…in my dream last night, I was a police officer or something and we were investigating this guy for some reason. We were in his house to arrest him, but he didn’t seem to be there. Then, I saw something in the oven. It wasn’t on, but there was definitely something there, so I opened the door and there was a baby! It grabbed the door to close it back several times and I told it I was there to help and picked it up. My partner was finding babies and children behind every door…cabinets, closets…I asked the baby if they were his siblings and he said he didn’t have siblings…or parents…and pointed to a jar on the desk. There were jellyfish-ish cylinders swimming around in a clear liquid…apparently they were supposed to be embryos…apparently lady came in with a syringe filled with something and we managed to get her handcuffed after a tussle, then the guy came in. We tried to put him in cuffs, but, he was really good at fighting us off…especially because he would sprout new arms and hands any time we made any progress. He explained that the children in the home were all created by him and he used the same sort of…I dunno…some dna something…to enhance himself as well. We wound up staying with the family for a few days. They were weird and definitely crazy, but really nice and super smart. When we left, the woman gave me a hug and asked me if they could make a baby for me. She said not to worry because she would certainly want to be involved and would do as much of the caregiving as I wanted.

Oh! And the woman made what she told me were “buffalo eggs” for breakfast…funny, THAT was the part I couldn’t wrap my brain around..

December 4/5th, 2016

Last night, at some point, I had a nightmare…we were staying at a sort of Air B&B room…a mess of a room with closets full of clothes of many sizes, boxes under the bed full of first aid supplies…dusty and dirty, but, the linens seemed clean enough. It was a shed outside of a house, really. We were in the main house visiting with the owners.

Then, a man came in and violently killed the patriarch with a knife, then came into the kitchen where I was speaking with the matriarch…he asked us to leave and, I’m ashamed to say, we did…and he proceeded to kill her quite violently as well.

I called the police and they said my dad had called the day before predicting the violence and laughed it off as a prank. I returned to the main house and there was no evidence of the crime. Then, our luggage started moving about and clothes began taking a human form…

In the end, it seems the owners were just some form of prior occupants made into human form by way of their DNA being transformed from their clothing and we were the next “victims.”

In short, it was pretty messed up…

That adds up…

In one of my dreams earlier, Donald Trump was buying up houses in my neighborhood and he kept insisting on borrowing the neighbors cars. Thing is, he didn’t have a license and had never driven before, so he kept wrecking them.

No need to pick that dream apart…

It’s a High School Cafeteria World…

Last night I had a dream in which we were all, as a society, basically living in the microcosm of a high school cafeteria. The “leader,” played by Will Ferrell’s Anchorman, was The Coach. The Coach felt strongly that all of the problems of our world were caused by weakness. There were posters and reminders everywhere suggesting our goal was to “Make America Strong Again.”

According to The Coach, the only way to achieve this was to “toughen up” the weak. This was done by regular beatings of the back and legs of those deemed weak and was to continue until those members could take a beating for several hours without slouching or grimacing.

The tool was, well, it was a dream, so it doesn’t entirely add up, but, it was a yardstick. Of course, these yardsticks didn’t bend and break as easily as ours would, although, there were ratings of various brands and such. One rating (think Amazon reviews) suggested a particular yardstick for strength, durability and maximum scarring potential, but, the person lamented they really need a 3.5 ft yardstick (which gave me a chuckle…wouldn’t be a yardstick if it weren’t 3ft, right?).

Anyway, it was the responsibility of those selected as the strongest among us to “beat the weak out” of the weakest. Those of us in between were powerless. Being granted the privelge to wield a yardstick was the only way to attain power.

There was among the weakest a boy who was regularly, as per regulation, beaten throughout the day by several members of the ruling (oh, I just got that association…well played, brain…) class. His inability to stand any longer and the fact that led to more severe beatings finally caused me, instead, to break.

I took the yardstick of the one doing the beating and offered it, it’s position of power and my back to all of society. But, a funny thing happened…not one person would take that power for their own. In the end, everyone just lined up and walked out of the cafeteria one by one. Turns out, there was a world beyond the walls, but we were all afraid to leave it until we realized there was more power within us than beyond us.

A mutual conspiracy

I think I just realized why I like The X-Files so much. It’s, as most programs, a distraction from reality, but also feels relevant. Sometimes I feel like the things I try to explain seem like crazy conspiracy theories from Mulder…but, the twisted thing is, I can back them all up with serious data at least on par with Scully. Yet, the reaction is generally a reference to some crazy pseudoscience or an article clearly meant to distract or flat out detract the consumer for the purposes of either votes or monetary gain. Sometimes I feel like Mulder making a face to face introduction between one and an alien and still trying to convince said person it’s happening. Meh, kudos Mulder and Scully for at least being able to discuss your differences and work together…more and more I realize truth is stranger than fiction, so seems fair enough to congratulate fictional characters.

I am WAY too awkward!…I got a car! Paid less than trade-in value and it’s way more than I thought my budget would allow!  I was SO excited when I found I have heated seats…the guy at the gas station where I discovered it probably thought I was nuts! I absolutely squealed, “I have heated seats!!!!” He had no way of knowing I had just bought the car… Worse still, I  then questioned it, so turned it on and felt the need to report to him as I was leaving that, yes, my ass was warm!

Taking a life has to be one the worst possible things to me 99.9999% of the time. I don’t “get” the death penalty…how people can eat animals…why cruelty free products are a niche market…why we don’t teach sex-ed in schools and why so many are against birth control…

I have even invested in airtight containers so we don’t get maggots in our foodstuffs if we don’t kill flies…reusing glass jars seemed like a good idea at first…it wasn’t.

However, apparently, when I kill, I do it with such force, I seem to be trying to compel that life into another domain or something. Mosquitoes suck…blood…they suck blood…meanwhile, I’m only bruising myself…

– feeling like a hypocrite. :-p
